Description

The City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assistant for a six-month temporary assignment within the Real Estate and Development Planning Department. The successful candidate will provide support to mechanics and artisans in the repair, servicing, and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, pumps, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics and artisans with mechanical repairs, servicing, and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, pumps, and tools
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and setting out tools, equipment, and parts
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the workshop and work areas
• Use hand tools and basic mechanical equipment
• Transport tools, parts, and equipment as required

Qualifications

• Grade 10/N2 Mechanical Engineering
• South African citizen
• Ekurhuleni resident (Specify ward number)
• Unemployed
• Basic mechanical background in a workshop environment
